12.15 pm The path to a sustainable experiential tourism, biodiverse 5.0: experience and training

In this historical moment, tourism is called to: question and renew itself; to review strategies, attractors, targets, communication, training, promotion of products and services, in order to make the leap in quality.

The tourist travelers have passed from spectator observers to technological consumersActors, active protagonists in search of unique and exciting experiences, to share in their personal community network.

The experience of the tourist is no longer made only of observation, visit, participation, buti t is changed in active practice and dynamic learning of a know-how, made by physical-emotional-sensory-intellectual-collective involvement with local realities, as if it were an inhabitant of the place. The tourist is going to be contaminated with history, culture, traditions, crafts, cuisine, people; contributing to enhancement and protection of this realities.

Many tourism provider believe that they offer “unique experiences”, is that really so? What role will training play after the tourism crisis?  From the villages to the mountains, from the islands to the cities, from the crystal clear waters to the colorful countries are this content still enough to promote “the Madeinitaly”?

In an historical period in which the “new normal” immediately becomes “next” – where everything is impermanent – tour operators, municipalities, destinations are ready and determined to leave the comfort zone, to take a sustainable and biodiverse path?
