
Cristina Gabetti
American roots, Italian upbringing, Cristina is a bilingual journalist, writer, moderator, speaker, coach and sustainability advisor.
After a decade in the Mediaset (national Italian TV) newsroom, reporting on rock and fashion icons, motherhood brought her to investigate the impact of our lifestyles on society and the environment. Caught in the gap between what we know and how we live, she researched and applied sustainable solutions at 360 degrees. Discovering a world of creative opportunities, changing habits became her mission.
In 2008 she shared her experience in her first book, Tentativi di Eco Condotta (Rizzoli) which brought her back on screen with a weekly segment in Striscia la notizia, the most popular show on Italian TV. Last season she introduced the SDG’s to the general public.
Cristina has also published a book for elementary school children – Tondo Come il Mondo (Librì Progetti Educativi) now in its eleventh edition, reaching more than half a million students and A Passo Leggero (Bompiani) which explores empathy as a driver of change.
As a moderator Cristina connects international experts to discuss solutions to the challenges of our time.
In May 2020 she joined the advisory board of the Yale Center for Environmental Law&Policy.
